i woke up this morning to a voicemail from a woman saying that she found my wallet and wanted to return it. an hour later i met her in front of the bar i work at and she gave me my wallet, made sure everything i had was still there, and left. i had some cash, credit cards, a paycheck that i received less than 12 hours ago, my driver’s license, metrocard, and they were all in their place. luck, karma, whatever you want to call it, some people are good. it could have been anyone that picked up my wallet. if this woman had decided that she wanted to keep my wallet, the frustration and annoyance that would have arose from having to deal with replacing all of my belongings would have been tough.
